The journey includes two nights in the mountain village of Hanmer Springs, where you can soak in natural hot pools surrounded by alpine scenery.

Auckland – Christchurch

Depart Auckland on Air New Zealand. Arrive Christchurch, transfer to your central hotel. This afternoon, meet your guide for a walking tour of central Christchurch. Welcome dinner is included tonight.

Christchurch – Greymouth TranzAlpine

This morning board the world famous TranzAlpine train arriving Greymouth early afternoon – morning tea and lunch included on board.
Tuesday 18 August
Greymouth – Hanmer Springs
Dinner
Free time to explore this west coast town before heading north to Reefton for a walking tour of this historic town. Break for lunch (own expense) before travelling through the Lewis Pass to Hanmer Springs for a two night stay.
Wednesday 19 August

Today is yours to soak in the hot pools, walk, shop or hire a bike.

General Information
Health and Mobility
A good standard of fitness and health is required for this tour. Clients must be independently mobile with the ability to walk on uneven ground and unaided for 30 minutes. Please note that mobility frames and wheelchairs are not practical or permitted on our tours. It is expected you will arrive on tour fit, healthy and ready to travel.
