Tour Description - Please note that this is a soft adventure tour. Whilst hotels throughout this journey are carefully selected for comfort, travellers should be aware that public facilities in China and Tibet can vary considerably — squat-style toilets are common when out and about, and some amenities along the way may be more basic than what you’re accustomed to at home.

Luggage - It is essential you can manage your own suitcase. A bag with wheels is an advantage when travelling through airports.

Health and Mobility

  • To ensure the tour is enjoyable for the whole group a good standard of health and fitness is required. 
  • Sightseeing at many of the palaces, fortresses and some temples will include climbing a number of uneven  stairs, some without hand rails. If you have poor balance or a significant knee or hip injury you should consider the suitability of this itinerary carefully. 
  • This tour is not suitable for those who require airport wheelchair assistance or any mobility aids.
  • It is essential that you arrive on tour fit, healthy and ready to travel.

Travelling at altitude - Tibet - Tibet is a high-altitude region (3,700m). Individuals with heart disease, hypertension or asthma should consult their doctor before booking on this tour. If you are over the age of 75 years a health certificate will be required two months prior to travel.
