This morning depart Auckland on your Air New Zealand flight to Christchurch. On arrival in Christchurch transfer by luxury coach to Mt Cook. Enroute enjoy a break in Geraldine with its variety of shops, Barkers food and cafes. Travel on via Tekapo and along the shores of Lake Ohau to the Hermitage. Enjoy a welcome dinner tonight.

This morning depart The Hermitage hotel after breakfast. Enjoy a break in Geraldine and a meal at one of the cafes, browse Barkers Foods and the boutique shops along the main street. Continue into Christchurch airport for the return flight to Auckland.

Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre
Your Explorer pass will enable you to visit the centre which features a 3D movie theatre, planetarium and museum – valid for the duration of your stay. You’ll find the museum showcasing the history of the Mount Cook region through transport, climbing, and pioneer extraordinaire, Sir Edmund Hillary himself.
Mt Cook Day Walks
For the more energetic walks are available, taking in some of the breath-taking views of the mountains and valleys. The Hooker Valley walk is the best. Unimog Tour $69 per person A two hour adventure accessing awe inspiring views over the Tasman Glacier and its huge marine wall in a 4WD unimog.

Discover the hidden treasures that reveal themselves within a world of snow, rock and ice. Fly the full length of the Tasman Glacier before landing on the glacier itself to get a feel for the scale and grandeur. You will fly right up to the very top of this glacier – which is New Zealand’s longest river of ice.
Aoraki/Mt Cook Ultimate (55 minutes) $565.00 per person
This really is the ultimate way to view the awe inspiring heights of Aoraki/Mt Cook. First the helicopter will circle New Zealand’s highest peak which is a never forgotten experience. Then you will fly over the famous West Coast glaciers of Fox and Franz Josef with sights of the wild ocean coastline of the West Coast. In addition this signature helicopter tour also includes a landing on the Tasman Glacier. In conclusionyou will leave with memories and photos to last a lifetime!
