Their history is divided into eras

Pre-1788 – evidence of Polynesian settlement

First Colonial settlement 1788 – 1814

Second Penal settlement 1825 – 1855

Third Pitcairn settlement 1856 – present day

Visitors become very much absorbed in their way of life and enjoy seeing how the past is influencing the future.

Cyclorama- one of Norfolk’s leading attractions.

- This pictorial 360˚ panorama with 3D effects, highlights the culture and history of the island in a special way.

-  This takes you on a historic journey including the famous 1789 Mutiny on the Bounty which created the Norfolk and Pitcairn communities.

- The history from the discovery by Captain James Cook in 1774 to this island paradise becoming a harsh penal colony in the late 1700s will intrigue.
