Midday departure on Singapore Airlines for flight to Singapore. Change planes.
Arrive Paris early morning and change planes for flight to Bordeaux, arriving late morning where we will be met by local guide and transferred to your centrally-located hotel. Afternoon at leisure to rest before a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travellers.
After le petit déjeuner (breakfast) meet our guide for a short orientation tour of Bordeaux. Travel by coach through the vine-covered countryside to the restored Château Cazeneve – set in a wooded park, English-style gardens and beautifully furnished in its original style.
Lunch at a Chateau.
This morning we travel to the fortified harbour town of Libourne and visit the popular local market. Continue to the alluring medieval village of St Emilion for a guided walking tour including the underground monuments. Free time for a typical French lunch (own expense).
Return to Bordeaux via the Pomerol district with time for a walking tour of ‘Old Bordeaux.’
Today travel on ‘La Route des Chateaux’ to the Pauillac area and visit a winery. Lunch is in a typical Médoc restaurant.
Take a ferry across the Gironde River to visit Blaye Citadelle, high above the river.
Later return to Bordeaux.
Morning departure by coach for Andorra, a tiny independent principality in the Pyrenees Mountains (five hours including a coffee stop). Arrive early afternoon and check into your hotel for a one night stay. Time to explore this mountain
Andorra - Population 85,458
The tiny principality of Andorra is located in the high mountains of the Pyrenees between France and Spain.
Continue on to Barcelona via Monserrat (a Benedictine Monk retreat set in a spectacular mountain setting). After a tour of the Monastery, stop in the village for lunch (own expense). Arrive in Barcelona and embark ‘Celebrity Eclipse’- your home for the next 12 nights. Time to explore the ship’s varied and opulent facilities before your first dinner on board.
Valencia is a port city known for its Arts and Sciences and futuristic buildings.
Famous for its palm-tree-lined boulevards and pedestrian streets while the ‘Old Town’ has narrow streets and coloured houses. The elevator to medieval Castile de Santa Barbara provides glorious views of the Mediterranean.
Time in the former military fortification and gateway to the Med provides panoramic views across the strait to Africa and a natural reserve famous for its Barbary monkeys.
Is a vacation favourite on the Costa del Sol with its yellow sandy beaches. Looming over the modern skyline are the city’s two massive hilltop citadels.
A day at sea to enjoy the on board facilities.
Provence is the port for Marseilles, the cruise gateway to the Provence area of France with access to Aix and Avignon. Many visitors enjoy ‘Le Vieux Port’ – a picturesque harbour lined with boutiques, cafés, local fishermen and mega yachts.
Nice on the Cote d’Azur with its old town, fabulous shops and stylish inhabitants. The city remains a magnet for the mega-rich of many countries.
The capital of Tuscany is known for its Renaissance architecture and art, the Duomo, Cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome, Michelangelo’s David and the Uffizi Gallery.
Civitavecchia, Rome’s port is about an 80 minute drive from the centre of Italy’s sprawling capital city. With a 3,000 year history, the Roman Empire’s influence can be seen at the Forum and Coliseum with the Vatican City containing St Peters Basilica, the Vatican Museum and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescoes.
Italy’s southern city near Mount Vesuvius and the excavated town of Pompeii is also called an open air museum because of its opera houses, theatres, statues and monuments.
Capri is a 40 minute ferry ride by hydrofoil.
A day at sea to soak up the sea air and relax before the end of the cruise.
Arrive in Barcelona, disembark ‘Celebrity Eclipse’ and enjoy a sightseeing tour before transferring to our hotel for a one-night stay. Afternoon free before a ‘Tapas Walking Tour.
After breakfast, depart for the airport for our Singapore Airlines flight to Singapore.
