Your travel itinerary

Day 1 - Madrid (Spain) D

Begin your adventure in vibrant Madrid, where a delicious welcome dinner kicks off the tour in style. Enjoy local specialties including patatas bravas, tortilla and campo real. Madrid is a vibrant capital where grand boulevards, world-class art museums and buzzing tapas bars sit alongside centuries of royal history.

Day 2 - Madrid – Toledo B

After breakfast travel south to Toledo for a guided walking tour. Perched dramatically above the Tagus River, Toledo is a UNESCO World Heritage city where Christian, Muslim and Jewish heritage blend together in a maze of cobbled streets and ancient walls. Afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 3 - Toledo – Valdepeñas – Córdoba B L

Today you'll pass traditional windmills and golden valleys as you cross the La Mancha plateau, pausing in Puerto Lápice (the setting for Don Quixote) for a slice of tarta de flor, before visiting a Valdepeñas bodega for a wine tasting and home-cooked lunch. Later, you'll arrive in Córdoba, where you can explore the UNESCO-listed Old Town, relax by the pool, or catch an evening equestrian and flamenco show at the Royal Stables.

Day 4 - Córdoba B

After breakfast take a guided tour of Córdoba Old Town, including the UNESCO-listed Mezquita, where striped Islamic arches and glass floors reveal the city's layered Roman and Moorish history. From there, you'll stroll through the Jewish Quarter, passing the Maimónides Monument and the artisan souk near the 14th-century Synagogue. The afternoon is free to explore at your own pace, whether that's churros in Plaza de la Corredera or a fifty-fifty cocktail at a local bodega.

Day 5 - Córdoba – Úbeda – Granada B

Leaving Córdoba, you'll head deeper into Andalusia, where olive trees line the countryside. In Úbeda, you'll visit the Centro de Interpretación Olivar y Aceite for an olive harvesting masterclass and tasting session, with time afterwards to grab lunch, perhaps trying ochíos con morcilla, a paprika-spiced bread roll filled with black pudding. You'll then continue to Granada, a UNESCO World Heritage city steeped in stories of revolution and the Reconquista, where you'll spend the night in a former palace at its heart.

Day 6 - Granada B

Enjoy a guided tour of the Alhambra, Granada's ancient Islamic fortress, taking in its history and sweeping views over the old town. The rest of the day is yours to explore, whether that's wandering the Albayzín, visiting Granada Cathedral, catching a flamenco show in Sacromonte, or settling into a tapas bar for the evening.

Day 7 - Granada – Ronda B D

Today travel south to Ronda, exploring its cobbled streets and the dramatic Puente Nuevo bridge over El Tajo Gorge. The afternoon is free to wander at your own pace, whether that's Plaza Duquesa de Parcent, Alameda del Tajo park, or a sunset drink at the Hotel Catalonia's rooftop bar, before a group dinner together in the evening.

Day 8 - Ronda – Grazalema and Jerez – Seville B L

Wind through the Andalusian back roads, stopping in the hilltop village of Grazalema before a sherry tasting and tapas at Bodegas Fernandez GAO in Jerez. From there, you'll continue to Seville, where the evening includes a traditional flamenco show at the Museo del Baile Flamenco.

Day 9 - Seville B

Two words to sum up Seville? Charismatic and colourful. Today take a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Alcázar of Seville, then have the rest of the day free to explore at your own pace, whether that's Roman ruins, Plaza de España, the modern Setas de Sevilla, or a glass of orange wine in the Santa Cruz neighbourhood.

Day 10 - Seville – Sierra De Aracena B

Leave Seville behind for the tranquil Sierra de Aracena, stopping at a local pig farm for a jamón ibérico tasting paired with local cheeses, before settling into your countryside hotel for an evening of leisure.

Day 11 - Sierra De Aracena – Monsaraz (Portugal) – Estremoz B D

After a relaxed morning, you'll cross into Portugal's Alentejo region, with a stop in the medieval village of Monsaraz for an orientation tour and views over the Alqueva Dam. The afternoon brings a stop in Estremoz, the "White City," with time to explore its Old Town before a farewell dinner of Alentejo specialities.

Day 12 - Estremoz – Évora – Lisbon B

After breakfast, you'll head to Évora for an orientation walk past the Templo de Diana, then continue on to Lisbon, arriving mid-afternoon for the tour's farewell.
