Voyage to the Marquesas Island

aboard Aranui 5

Our groups return with glowing reports on both the ship, destination and the whole experience. The ship Aranui 5, is the only way to explore the Marquesas Islands - operating between Tahiti, the Tuamotus and the Marquesas. The crew is primarily marquesians, the first language is french but english is also spoken. The ship is in the style of a traditional cargo ship – a modern custom-built mixed passenger / cargo vessel, but with all the latest amenities. Previous groups described it more like a cruise, with the additional experience of calling at tiny ports. Aranui 5 offers comfortable, air conditioned accommodation for approximately 240 passengers who will be able to sunbathe on deck, visit the fitness room, enjoy a spa treatment, swim in the pool or enjoy exotic tropical drinks while she winds her way among the Marquesas Islands.

Testimonials

“The cruise ship being a combined freighter / cruise ship was an excellent mix. Watching the crew working was a highlight”

“I especially enjoyed interaction with the culture of the Marquesans – information & guidance from Aranui and on-shore guides was splendid” – Jessica
