Stewart Island and The Catlins Rail Tour 2017

New Zealand

Experience the scenic south in style, travelling aboard our exclusive charter train – the refurbished Silver Fern Railcar.

Each carriage is comfortably equipped with full on-board facilities and spectacular viewing.

Panoramic windows offer uninterrupted views not seen when travelling by road. Our tour escort and hosts ensure your 8 day tour is relaxing, fun and memorable. Each night we stay in comfortable hotels where all guest rooms have their own private facilities and all breakfasts are included. Morning, afternoon teas and lunches on the train are included most days as well as many dinners.

This exclusive tour will include a day trip to Stewart Island. The island’s densely forested hills, tiny population and untouched coastline of rocky outcrops and creamy golden sand beaches make it a natural refuge for marine and bird life and a ‘must do’ for every New Zealander.

The Journey through the Catlins by luxury coach will include podocarp forests, rugged coastlines, hidden lakes and stunning waterfalls. The natural landscapes are enthralling and the wildlife is extraordinary.
