A morning departure from Auckland on Singapore Airlines. Arrive Singapore, change planes and continue on to Kathmandu. Arrive Kathmandu late evening and transfer to your inner-city hotel.

Kathmandu

Today drive to Chitwan National Park, one of the most famous wildlife-viewing parks in Asia and listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Chitwan National Park

Upon arrival, check in at the hotel with free time to relax.  This afternoon take a charming rickshaw ride through the narrow alleys of the old city, leading to the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square. Explore the ancient temples, courtyards, and palaces that reflect the city’s rich cultural heritage before our farewell dinner.

Kathmandu - Singapore

Today visit a bustling local street market where you’ll get a glimpse into the daily lives of Kathmandu’s residents—perfect for capturing authentic moments and trying local snacks. Documentation

  • A current passport is required, valid six months beyond date of travel

Temperatures  ˚c Kathmandu  Max 22  Min 10 - Clear skies, low humidity, and minimal rainfall. 

Luggage - It is essential you can manage your own suitcase. A bag with wheels is an advantage when travelling through airports.

Currency

  • The official currency is the Nepalese Rupee (NPR), often symbolized as Rs or    NPR.
  • Major credit cards are accepted in hotels, larger restaurants, and shops 
  • In Kathmandu, but cash is preferred in smaller shops, markets, and rural areas.
  • ATMs are widely available in Kathmandu and Pokhara, but carrying some cash    for smaller towns and villages is recommended

Health and Fitness

To ensure the tour is enjoyable for the whole group a good standard of health and fitness is required. Kathmandu’s streets and alleyways are often uneven and crowded. Be prepared for steps and narrow lanes. This tour is not suitable for those who require airport wheelchair assistance or any mobility aids. It is essential that you arrive on tour fit, healthy and ready to travel.

Travelling at altitude - Kathmandu - Kathmandu sits at ~1,400 m (4,600 ft), so altitude sickness is uncommon.
