Adelaide to Auckland

Friday 19 March

Depart on Air New Zealand and arrive in Adelaide late morning. Enjoy an Adelaide city sights tour before transferring to our beach front hotel in Glenelg with an afternoon to relax. A ‘Welcome Dinner’ tonight to mix and mingle.

Saturday 20 March

After breakfast travel to the Barossa Valley and enjoy lunch at Seppeltsfield Winery. Return to Glenelg with the remainder of the day at leisure.

Sunday 21 March

Today travel by comfortable airconditioned coach through the rolling hills and vineyards of the Adelaide Hills. Continue across the vast Murray River plains, and into Victoria’s lush green dairy country before arriving in the charming coastal city of Warrnambool, where rugged limestone cliffs meet the Southern Ocean.

Monday 22 March

Experience the magnificent views travelling the Great Ocean Road towards Ballarat. There’ll be plenty of sightseeing opportunities including the Twelve Apostles. Arrive in Ballarat for a two-night stay.

The Twelve Apostles are magnificent limestone pillars rising dramatically from the Southern Ocean along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, offering one of Australia’s most iconic and breathtaking coastal views. These ancient rock formations, carved by thousands of years of wind and waves, provide spectacular photo opportunities and unforgettable sunset vistas from the clifftop viewing platforms.

Tuesday 23 March

Today step back in time to the 1850s gold rush era at Sovereign Hill. Pan for real gold, explore authentic underground mines, and experience life in a bustling Victorian-era town complete with costumed characters, horse-drawn carriages, and the excitement of striking it rich.

Wednesday 24 March

This morning enjoy a short scenic drive to Melbourne before checking into our centrally located hotel.

Thursday 25 March

Discover Melbourne at your own pace with a full day to explore the city’s cultural heart. Why not explore Federation Square and the National Gallery of Victoria, indulge in worldclass shopping along Collins Street and Bourke Street Mall, hop aboard the iconic free City Circle Tram, or savour the city’s legendary coffee culture and diverse dining scene.

Friday 26 March

Journey through Victoria’s picturesque countryside and cross into New South Wales travelling towards Canberra, Australia’s capital, for a two-night stay. Along the way pass rolling farmland, charming rural towns, and the foothills of the Australian Alps.

Canberra, known as Australia’s ‘Bush Capital’, was set up in 1908 as a compromise government location between rivals Sydney and Melbourne. Situated 290km southwest of Sydney and surrounded by forest, farmland and nature reserves, the city’s focal point is Lake Burley Griffin, a popular water playground with Parliament House on its shores.

Saturday 27 March

Explore Australia’s political heart on a Canberra city sites tour, visiting Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial and Embassy Row.

Sunday 28 March

Today travel to Sydney, winding through the majestic Blue Mountains with their dramatic cliff faces and eucalyptus forests. Cricket enthusiasts will enjoy a visit  to the iconic Bradman Museum & International Cricket Hall of Fame in Bowral. Upon arrival in Sydney, board the Crown Princess for a relaxing five night cruise home to Auckland.

Monday 29 March

After all those days on the road it’s now time to unwind aboard the Royal Princess. Discover a relaxing atmosphere filled with an array of world class entertainment and award-winning specialty restaurants.

Tuesday 30 March

There’s always something happening on board — from heading to the Princess Theatre for an original musical production, to enjoying a blockbuster movie poolside or simply relaxing in a lounge sipping a cocktail.

Wednesday 31 March

The Royal Princess offers the perfect blend of luxury and leisure. Spend your day at sea indulging in world-class spa treatments at the Lotus Spa, browsing the onboard boutiques, or simply relax on deck as the world passes you by.

Thursday 01 April

Arrive into Tauranga and spend the day exploring Mount Maunganui’s beaches, waterfront cafés and boutique shops, or venture inland to experience Rotorua’s geothermal and cultural highlights.

Friday 02 April

After breakfast, farewell the group and disembark in Auckland.
