2017 South America Tour

Includes Argentina, Brazil, Peru and Bolivia
01 – 22 September 2017

Escorted by Ed Hudson

South America – a diverse, rich and vast continent with numerous UNESCO Heritage sites, vibrant cultures and history that dates back pre BC.
Our new escorted tour takes you to areas not easily accessible outside the comfort of a group, including La Paz and Copacabana in Bolivia and Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca in Peru.
Begin in Buenos Aries, the ‘Paris of the South’ with its architecture and culture; see the multi-tiered Iguassu Falls experienced from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides and the Olympic city of Rio de Janeiro.
We acclimatise slowly, taking in Lima and Cusco in Peru, before the amazing train journey in Peru from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes on the way to Machu Picchu, the former 15th Century Inca capital and UNESCO Heritage Site. Machu Picchu will amaze.
Our escort Ed Hudson resides in South America for about six months a year and has a vast knowledge of all the included destinations and many more.
Why not join us for a tour to remember.

Ed Hudson

Ed Hudson (Tour Leader, Historian, Naturalist)

Ed has been leading tours in South America since 1986 and has escorted several Pukekohe Travel tours to the continent.
He spends three months each year in New Zealand but his main home is Peru’s capital, Lima.
Ed has led a number of New Zealand groups and speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese on a daily basis.
For the past 12 years he has worked as history lecturer and naturalist on overseas expedition cruise ships around the South American coasts and on the Amazon and Orinoco rivers.
Ed says “South America surprises everyone. It is not the picture that the news and our minds have created. The friendliness and diversity of the people will be one of the biggest surprises.”
Our recent tours return with high praise for Ed.
Ed will meet the group in Buenos Aries.
