There is something special about Central Otago that has returning visitors wanting more.
Our Pukekohe Travel tour group loved Wedderburn in the heart of the Maniatoto amongst paddocks of golden tussock, sheep, woolsheds and the Otago Rail Trail.
The group appeciated time to explore Naseby where an impromptu try at curling created loads of laughter; the old town of St Bathans with its population of four and Dansy Pass. The farm visit to Clachanburn Gardens was a highlight!
Add in the Taieri train ride to Middlemarch, the stunning scenery; Southern Man food, Wanaka with beautiful Mt Aspiring and lake dominant; the view from Treble Cone, Cardrona and Arrowtown before arriving in Queenstown.
But most of all the friendliness and helpfulness of the locals made the trip something to savour.
Our next tour to the region is Cycling the Otago Rail Trail in November.
