Your stay in the Lord Milner Hotel at Matjiesfontein will give you a first-hand insight into life as it was at the turn of the 20^th century.

Located along the railway line between Cape Town and Johannesburg, this small town with its Victorian buildings and history remains untouched and is part of the character of the unique Little Karoo area.

Survival in the sparse, barren area of the Karoo is based on wool and meat, with colourful landscapes, farming and attractive scenery providing a contrast to the more fertile areas along the coast.
