Bernadette is a well known local identity and the contact person in the Pukekohe Travel Tours Department.
With more than 19 years experience in the industry, Bernadette is responsible for groups, working with schools, sports clubs and other organisations.
She says travel opens one's eyes, makes you look at your and others' lives in a different light and adds the challenge of being out of your comfort zone.
Bernadette recently returned from a flying visit to Vancouver and China experiencing Premium Economy and Business Class on Air New Zealand.on the way.
She also loves the Chatham Islands after a short tour and wants to return especially for the fishing.
Bernadette loves helping others and in March completed her 10th consecutive week-long Variety Bash from Christchurch to Auckland via Wanganui and Taranaki as part of 'Variety' - The Childrens Charity, raising money for needy NZ kids. She is part of Team Waikato which travels in a 1958 International Ambulance.
She also enjoys fishing and playing Golden Oldies Rugby (is the vice president of the notorious 'Tuakau Terribulls) and is restoring her 1966 HR Holden Premier.
She is also the Onewhero Rugby Club's delegate on the Counties Manukau Rugby Union and was part of the founding committee of the Onewhero Rural Woman's Group.
